None days left in the semester, that is. Grades are in, portfolios returned (at least, as many as students wanted to drop by and pick up), reflection on the Press internship written. The last thread to tie off is a reflection on how the po-class went. And that's not due any time soon. Time now to start writing and revising and submitting things to people. And I'll have to start with the ASLE panel.
But first, the shopping and the shipping. And if you're in grad school, PhD comics (which were in the DN last week, OMG) has some suggestions.
After school yesterday evening, D and I stopped by a local pub for a celebratory pint o' beer. All the televisions were tuned to the local women's volleyball game. Our volleyball team here at UNL are, how shall I put this?, kick ass. Aside from wrestling, they are our most dominant sports team. In a twenty of thirty game season, they lost one game. One. These are tall, strong women who will step on your throat and not let you up until you wear the impression of the brand of their gym shoes for the rest of your life. But what was nice about the whole thing was that everyone was watching. Every place we passed that had a tv had it tuned to this game. Even in the gyro place that had one guy behind the counter and two guys in a booth. They were glued to the game. The women won. Huzzah. And will be in the champeenship game tomorrow. Or Sunday. Soon, is what I mean.
The books have changed over to your left. I'll talk about them soon.
