We've locked ourselves out of our shed. We were doing a bit of cleaning last week, but D had taken some migraine medicine. The house was cleansed, mostly, with a bit of boogie and other dance. Also, some of the projects sort of. . . paused. And then there's the issue of the missing key to the shed. We were planning a long bike ride on the bikes that got scrubbed last weekend. So now we have to waylay our upstairs neighbor who has a key, remove the lock, put on a new one (we got multiple back-up keys) and then get the bikes out. I'll let you know.
This reminds me that the downstairs guy is moving out. . . and filling our big, outdoor trashcan with recyclables and old food. Now, he's just moving across town, so it's not like the food will spoil. And there's the issue of the big water cooler he's dragged to the trash. The waste has D all pissed off, and righteously so. To recover our strength and equilibrium, we took cat and flower pictures.
First, indoors.
Jake the Cat. Lounging. Thinking of how to turn sunlight into dreams. Plus, how to relax into a fur puddle.
At the end of a dozen pictures, he gets a bit squinty.
Outside, there's a lil' patch o' tulips on the corner. They catch and reflect the light of the sun so very nicely, no?
Also, we've started taking Quercus out on a leash. We took Jake, too, but he seemed terribly freaked out. Quercus was pleased. And she hasn't stopped talking about it, or arguing that she should go out again.
In the corner, I've included myself.
Miss Q, comin' at ya.
