They're gone. Yesterday morning, just after breakfast, my parents took off for Iowa and then Ohio. We did many touristy things: Henry Doorly Zoo, the Nebraska capital building, UNL campus, and so on. I'll try to post some pictures.
We did not have a repeat of "the conversation," but D and I came up with a drinking game. My parents have taken in a Cambodian woman who's trying to emigrate. She does a little cooking for them; they take her to work and help her with English. They also have connected her to the Cambodian community in their area. They drive her to church services and other events. It's very nice, but one upshot of this is that they keep talking about any number of cultural practices, foods, and so on, in Cambodia. They said this last phrase, "in Cambodia," so frequently that D and I came up with a drinking game: Whenever my mom or dad said "in Cambodia" take a shot. Sadly, we were at the zoo when we came up with this great game, so the only thing we had to take shots of was sea lion water. We passed.
