The bridge story finds me stunned. I project myself into that place, sitting in traffic on a bridge, waiting to go home. I would stuck from time to time on parts of "Spaghetti Junction" in Atlanta and wonder what would happen if the bridge failed. I feel a bit guilty to think of it now.
I'm also wondering about the aging infrastructure of the US. We've been so damned smug for so long about the superiority of our craftsmanship, our can-do attitude--particularly with a president like this. But excessive tax cuts and low bids will have their say as well.
Damn.
