This weekend was more social than work-related. I'm still trying to let myself have a bit of fun--even if only irregularly. Thus, we planned for a Friday night game night that didn't exactly come together, though Matt stayed until about 2 am. It was a good conversation, what can I say. Saturday was a birthday party and coffeehouse singer/songwriter day. Sunday, we welcomed some newly hitched friends back to Lincoln from their Jamaican nuptials. The reason I'm sore today is the number of fine dexterity games we played, particularly a frisbee/cricket hybrid that I could not stop playing. If I could find the rules--or pictures--on line, I'd post them for you.
I do love this about humans, though. Given a stick, a frisbee and some beer, we'll find a way to while away the time with some basic rules that eventually give rise to new skills. And maybe new rules to make the first rules a little less easy. Play? Joy? Why yes. That would be nice.
