Getting ready to head out to AWP. Horrible flight time: 1:30 AM on Wednesday. I get to Chicago at 2:30 PM. It's a long haul to the Lower 48!
I'll be hosting the UAP table (F18) and our new Alaska Literary Series book signing (Friday afternoon, 1-3). And I'll be chairing a session--also on Friday afternoon. The panel starts at 3, so I'll be scampering from one conference hotel to the other.
Always a vexed proposition, this conference. I love the energy, meeting people, hanging out with old friends, and talking about writing. But I usually get home exhausted and unable to focus. Just so long as I get all the books and receipts back to the office.
As I said, I always look forward to the people, so stop by if you're at the show.
